The new year always brings about new opportunities and experiences. Making resolutions, breaking resolutions, turning over a new leaf. On the dawn of 2009, a group of friends formed in the bowels of the vast int0rw3bz. They awoke to their collective e-power and decided that they could be productive with it, thus, Change The Record was born.
A group effort, CTR has no appointed leader, all decisions are made collectively by the staff. Through arguments, perseverance and ignoring the advice of anybody they didn’t like, the ladies and gentlemen of CTR created this wonderful and huge enterprise for your reading pleasure. As well as for those times when they really should be doing something else, but they would much rather write something to entertain themselves and the masses of visitors to their world-conquering corner of the web.
They overcame laziness to register www.changetherecord.co.cc, and then in a burst of strength, expanded to MySpace. Their ambitions know no bounds, and with the group collectively listening to ‘every genre ever invented’ (officially), there are no limits to what you will see crop up next on Change The Record.
From infants to ancients (well, 15 to 22), with everything but most ages in between, CTR has just the right amount of youthful naivety and ageing apathy. Expansion, world domination, even the possibility of an actual paid domain name, nothing is beyond them. Nobody knows what to expect next, and that is what makes Change The Record so damn exciting.
In the early hours of January 11th, 2009, an extraordinary thing happened. CTR overcame financial hardship and tight-fistedness to register www.changetherecord.net.
